halfway mark

Yesterday Jesse and I reached the halfway mark of our marriage.  The day passed like a normal Saturday, sleep in until 10 am, go to work together at 11, I finished at 2:30 pm, I went home, did some cleaning and washing (which really doesn't happen very often) while I was waiting for Jesse to come home at 5pm.  He went home and then he rested for a while and then we talked to the family in New Zealand,  I also was able to talk to his grandpere for the first time, he speaks really good english so it wasn't really hard for me.  After that we went to get some groceries for the coming week and Jesse got some fish to make sashimi for his dinner, he missed eating raw fish so much he ate it for dinner for 3 consecutive nights.  The sauce he makes really smells good but I still have to wait for four more months before I can try it.  It does not require much he just use oil, oyster sauce and garlic for it but you have to emulsify the oil and the oyster sauce which can take some time.

(Going back to the halfway mark topic, haha!)We really don't do stuffs to celebrate our "monthsary" even while we were still dating but yesterday we were able to reflect on the things that had happened to us over the past six months and how fast it has been.  Baby Estall also did some "acrobatic tricks" last night, his kicks were so strong that you literally can see my belly moving in the direction his kicking.  Jesse was able to see these and he was really shocked to literally see his baby moving, he also felt some of baby's movement.  This was our first (sort of) quality family time, haha!

This morning while we were having our brunch Jesse and I had a little argument about my eating habits.  He was arguing that I don't eat the way I'm supposed to be eating while I am pregnant, he says I eat so little as if I'm scared to get fat.  My argument was that I cannot eat a lot because I get so full easily and I cannot force myself to eat more until I feel the urge to eat or feel that my space is loosening.  He continued with his arguments and then he stopped and a few seconds after he commented on how our "argument" went through, he said it's like a fulfillment of a dream, a married couple eating at the dining table together arguing about something that is related to pregnancy.  Marriage is really the best even though this is the time that we also experience the lowest points of our life.  As Jesse always remind me, whats gonna matter in the end is how we enjoyed the journey together.  Life is good and we must always get the best out of it.  We're just in our sixth month of marriage and there is surely MORE to come.
